| Blossoming Ancient: New In-Game Pet Available | 4 days ago | Azeroth’s keepers use seeds of the ancients to nourish and revitalize the flame-scarred slopes surrounding Mount Hyjal—but this isn’t the only region left scarred by the Cataclysm. The Cenarion Circle seeks worthy champions to spread regrowth across the land by tending to a Blossoming Ancient, a sign of seasonal rebirth. As each new season begins, this traveling tree changes, bringing new life to its surroundings. Go to the Blizzard Store now to adopt one of these spirited saplings. Once activated, this in-game pet key applies to all present and future World of Warcraft® characters on a single Battle.net® account. (source) | | Comments | |
| Blizzard Announces "Flexible" Raid System in 5.4 | 12 days ago | The team at Blizzard have announced an exciting new flexible raid system, allowing any group size between 10 and 25 players for patch 5.4:
... we’re in the process of developing a new Flexible Raid system, which includes a new difficulty that sits between Raid Finder and Normal difficulty, while still allowing friends, family, or pick-up groups to play together. This difficulty will be available for premade groups of 10–25 players, including any number in between. That means whether you have 11, 14, or 23 friends available for a Raid, they’ll all be able to participate.
The Flexible Raid system is designed so that the challenge level will scale depending on how many players you have in the Raid. So if you switch between 14 players one week and 22 the next, the difficulty will adjust automatically. Keep in mind that unlike Raid Finder, no matchmaking is available, so you’ll need to make sure you invite people to attend—but if some can’t make it, it’s not the end of the world (or the Raid). You’ll also still be able to invite Real ID or Battle.net friends cross-realm. Who you choose to bring and what Item Level gear they’ll need to join your merry band is up to you, too—there’s no Item Level requirement for this Raid difficulty. This new system will use the LFR loot roll mechanism and will drop loot of higher ilevel than LFR.

| Blizzard Fixes Mount Count Issue | 17 days ago | Our good friend Peratryn at Blizzard has fixed the mount count issue on the battle.net site, allowing our mount rankings to accurately reflect the in-game mount counts once again. Should you find any mounts are still missing then please post up on the official forums.
PERATRYN: I have a fix for this going out later today that I think brings us very very close to accurate counts on the mounts tab. Please just post about any issues with your mount number not matching in game and we can try to take a look over the next few weeks. If you know which mounts are listed incorrectly that helps even more.
The removal of retired mounts from the collection was due to an incorrect solution to the faction-mount problem. I'm sorry it took so long to fix. | | Comments | |
