Guildox Is Moving!
Guildox now has a brand new look. Over the next few days, we'll be copying the remaining database data to the new server. Until the data has copied, some pages will still show this old site. There is also a reduced functionality on the new site until all data is copied to ensure data integrity.

|Hiding Alts||12 months ago|
|Guildox contains some advanced alt detection algorithms that are able to detect all alts for a character. However, if you are being harassed, it's sometimes necessary to hide these alts so you can play in peace.|
Now, you can!
To hide your alts from showing, click on the [hide these alts] link when viewing any of your characters. The quickest way to find this page is to search for one of your character names in the search box at the top right.
Once you click on the link, all your alts are hidden from all users of the site.
- You need to be logged on to hide your alts.
- Your alts might still be seen for a while in Google's cache, or on other websites.
|Exciting Times Ahead for GuildOx!||1 years ago|
My name is David Peterson and I am the new owner of GuildOx.
I've been an avid player of World of Warcraft since mid 2005. I started wowpopular.com in 2008 because I wanted an easy way to know the most popular talent builds for my own characters and alts.
I've always admired what Polar has created with GuildOx, so when I had the opportunity to take over the site, I jumped at the chance.
I'll continue maintaining and adding new content to Guildox up to and beyond the release of Warlords of Draenor. I'll be making a few smaller usability changes initially, as I get familiar with the database. In time, I plan to add loads more features like site personalization (see rankings as they relate to your own raiding; not just for the top guilds in the world), show what enchants and gems the top raiders use, and add some Auction House data.
I have lots more ideas, but I'd also like to know what features you would like to see on this site. Please let me know in the comments section.
Finally, thanks to Polar for his wonderful work in making the site what it is. We owe him a debt of gratitude for all his hard work.
|GuildOx Has a New Owner||1 years ago|
|I am pleased to announce that GuildOx has a new owner. The creator of wowpopular.com, David, has put a proposal to me which I could not refuse. David's plan for GuildOx was extremely impressive - I had no doubt that he would not only keep GuildOx running, but had the plan, skills and experience to grow it going into Warlords.|
GuildOx will be handed across over the next couple of weeks and then you can start to see some of David's magic at work.
|Farewell GuildOx Fans||1 years ago|
|The time has come for me to step aside from GuildOx. GuildOx has grown from strength to strength over the past six years but I need to free up time to pursue other opportunities. You are probably not aware, but I develop and maintain GuildOx alone and while it generally runs itself, it still requires maintenance and coding - especially around patch time.|
I want to thank all of the people that have supported GuildOx over the years. At the top of the list is the awesome team at WoW Insider who have published many GuildOx articles, Wowhead (Perc) who has arranged links to GuildOx from many Wowhead pages and provided the data for our Loot Rank service, Blizzard’s community manager Jonathan “Zarhym” Brown and Blizzard API team member Peratryn.
I also want to thank all of the loyal GuildOx supporters who regularly visit the site and have provided great ideas over the years.
What does the future hold for the service? GuildOx is currently seeking a passionate business/technical partner to acquire the service and grow GuildOx.com in preparation for the next WoW expansion and beyond. Do you have a passion for MMO's, hands-on experience in delivering a database-driven web service and have solid SQL-Server/ASP.NET skills?

|Destruction Warlocks Dominate Since 5.4||1 years ago|
|Our popular PvE specs table is showing some very interesting changes since the introduction of patch 5.4. In particular, Destruction Warlocks now dominate the top 5% of raiding warlocks. They have grown over 100% since patch 5.4 at the demise of the Demonologists. |
Other specs have changed as well - combat and subtelty rogues are growing with assassination dropping, frost continues to grow for mages (with arcane not far behind), survival has grown to equal beast mastery as the hunter spec of choice and frost DK's grow at the expense of unholy.
Protection warriors have grown in the tank ranks and restoration shaman and druids have also seen an increase in popularity.
