|Paragon kill the Lich King 25 Heroic with no ICC buff||3 years ago|
|Paragon have shown that they are definitely the rulers of ICC by proving that the Lich King can be defeated on 25 Heroic without the assistance of the ICC raid buff. |
According to Xenophics, "We wanted to see if Lich King with 0% zone buff awards an achievement or extra loot, but the only cool thing was getting the caster sword (Bloodsurge, Kel'Thuzad's Blade of Agony) for the first time (x2). Decided to try this for the first time this week and used around 2 hours to get it done. We had Nakkimon disconnecting in the beginning of the fight so we ended up doing it 24-man. The encounter wasn't that challenging, the only problem was getting everyone to stay online the whole encounter."
Paragon have promised a video of the kill.

|The GuildOx servers have received a hardware upgrade in preparation for the Cataclysm release. You should have noticed a distinct improvement in site performance.|
|ICC +30% buff due this reset||3 years ago|
|There is a good chance we will see the ICC buff increased to +30% this coming reset. It has been on a 4 week cycle, with the last increase happening on June 22. If it comes in as planned, then we should see more ICC progress for many guilds.|
Although, such an increase may not have much of an effect on the guilds working on the Lich King heroic encounter - we have had only 100 guilds complete it on 25m mode since the last ICC buff. There are currently over 2,500 guilds working on this fight.
|Beware: Halion throws out a challenge||3 years ago|
|It has been more than one week since the Ruby Sanctum was opened, yet only 10% of raiding guilds have claimed a Halion 10 kill.|
According to our gear level data, Halion 10 (normal mode) is currently requiring an average raid gear score of 5850 to earn a first kill, placing him up with Professor Putricide 10 Heroic in terms of difficulty. Similarly, Halion 25 (normal mode) is showing an average raid gear score of 6020, just behind Sindragosa 25 Heroic difficulty.
Given the iLvL of the Halion loot is higher than ICC, it should come as no surprise that the encounter was designed to be challenging. So if your guild is still doing normal mode ICC or you have just started on heroics, don't be surprised if Halion normal-mode requires a lot of work to conquer.
|Cataclysm Beta Now Live||3 years ago|
|Official, and very exciting news from Blizzard:|
The World of Warcraft: Cataclysm beta test is live, and we've begun the process of issuing invitations to selected participants! Week by week, as the beta test progresses, we will continue adding new World of Warcraft: Cataclysm playtesters. To opt in for Blizzard Entertainment beta tests, you must create a beta profile using the Beta Profile Settings option located in the "Manage My Games" section of your Battle.net Account Management page.
Please note that players selected via the opt-in system do not receive beta keys. Rather, your account will be flagged automatically and an email will be sent to you. Simply log in to your account by visiting http://battle.net when you receive a beta welcome notice and check your "Manage My Games" section to verify that the beta client is available for download. Be careful when reading emails claiming to be beta invites. Scam emails often use clickable links to gather your account information, so the safest practice is to go to http://battle.net to check on your beta invitation status. If you would like tips on how to arm yourself against phishing attempts, head over to the Battle.net Account Security
|Ruby Sanctum opens||3 years ago|
|Blizzard has officially opened the Ruby Sanctum, featuring the new boss, Halion the Twilight Destroyer along with his three lieutenants. Halion has been sent to assault the Ruby Sanctum in order to disrupt and potentially decimate the red dragonflight.|
Nethaera: As noted in the official patch 3.3.5 notes, (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/patchnotes/
) the release of the Ruby Sanctum was briefly delayed to better align its availability across all regions.
We're happy to announce that the wait is over, and the Ruby Sanctum is now open. To learn more about this exciting new raid dungeon, please visit the Ruby Sanctum preview page
You can see all the Ruby Sanctum achievement action unfold at:

|Preparation for Halion and 10m Strict||3 years ago|
|GuildOx is ready for Halion! We have added the Halion kill achievements to the tracked achievement list. All of Halion's loot has been added to the Loot Rank database and the new heroic trinkets have been modeled.|
For those guilds aiming to maintain their 10m strict rankings, please note that Halion 25 drops iLvL 271 gear and running it will exclude you from 10m strict rankings. Halion 25 drops iLvL 271 gear and this is well above anything that you can gain in ICC 10 Heroic.

|Moving Beyond Saurfang||3 years ago|
|Your raid team has just defeated normal-mode Deathbringer Saurfang, so where to next? You have plenty of choices. Do you go Festergut, Rotface, Blood-Prince Council or Valithria Dreamwalker? Some of these encounters are more difficult than others and the key to quick progression is tackling the easiest ones first.|
According to our World Progress Stats, which shows the gear level of raids when they first down a given ICC boss, Festergut is the easiest of the bosses past Saurfang for both 25 and 10 man raids. The Festergut encounter is a dps check - and one that has been getting considerably more achievable with the increasing ICC zone buff. Note that there is quite an average raid gear level jump from Saurfang to Festergut - suggesting that you may require a bit of work on him before you get him down.
Rotface, the other abomination in the Plagueworks, is the next easiest encounter and is almost on par with Festergut with respect to gear level requirement.
From here it gets interesting - for 25m raiding, the Blood-Prince Council is next in line followed by Dreamwalker and Professor Putricide. However, for 10m raid groups, Professor Putricide is somewhat easier than his 25m counterpart and is the next boss followed by Dreamwalker and Blood-Prince Council.
Sindragosa remains the most difficult normal-mode encounter before the Lich King so be sure to leave her until very last.
Finally, keep in mind that raid gear levels are one thing, but a healthy knowledge of the fights and good skill will go a long way to helping you be successful in your ICC campaign.
